2025 MAP best lecturer award
It has already become a tradition that the third semester MAP students choose their best lecturer and announce them in a small speech after the annual MAP Poster Session. This year, the students chose Prof. Robin Klupp Taylor and Prof. Marco Haumann as their best lecturers. Below you can read the speeches of our students to the two best lecturers 2025.
Shen Long Soong’s speech for Prof. Haumann:
It is my honor to announce the winner of the Best Lecturer Award for the 2025 edition.
First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our professors and staff members for tirelessly supporting and guiding us throughout the MAP programme.
It is amazing to know that the field of science contains so much beautiful knowledge and intriguing mysteries that are yet to be discovered.
The Best Lecturer Award 2025 election has been competitive, and the results are here.
We chose you for your exceptional enthusiasm for explaining chemical processes, especially when it comes to ammonia synthesis. Your ability to link complicated concepts with real-life applications, coupled with interesting and humorous stories to lighten the atmosphere in the class, as well as your extra effort in organizing the Kahoot session game to test our comprehension, is greatly appreciated.
We thank you for answering all our questions even after the class ended, with inspiring energy, kindness, and motivation that made us feel supported.
We appreciate you and your academic insights very much!
Congratulations to the best lecturer of the 2025 edition: Prof. Marco Haumann!
Ali Haider’s speech for Prof. Klupp Taylor:
It is my great honor to announce this year’s Best Lecturer Award winner:
Prof. Robin Klupp Taylor.
First, I would like to extend my gratitude to all our professors and staff members for their dedication and commitment to teaching. Each of you has played a significant role in shaping our journey here at FAU.
Today, however, we celebrate one professor whose impact has truly stood out.
Prof. Klupp Taylor, you have set an incredible example through your professionalism and the way you carried yourself in the classroom.
Always punctual and prepared, you approached every lecture with precision and attention to detail. Your commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of your teaching, from the effort you put into your lectures to the respect and time you gave each student.
Your ability to challenge us to think deeply and critically pushed us beyond what we thought we were capable of. Your exams, though undoubtedly demanding, inspired us to approach problems in innovative ways and develop a deeper understanding of nanoparticles.
Especially the Nano Focal exams where we were asked to analyze cutouts from newspapers really caught us off-guard and showed someone who has put in a lot of effort to make us think outside the box.
We chose you for:
- Your unwavering dedication to excellence and the high standards you upheld.
- Your meticulous approach to teaching, which ensured even the most complex concepts became accessible.
- Your willingness to meet us at our level, patiently guiding us toward understanding.
- And the respect and effort you consistently gave to your students, inspiring us to do the same.
Prof. Klupp Taylor, your lectures were not just about passing on knowledge; they were about instilling discipline, precision, and a genuine passion for learning. You’ve made a profound impact on all of us, not only as students but as individuals aspiring to excel in our own careers.
Thank you for your guidance, your dedication, and the inspiration you have provided. We are proud to honor you as the Best Lecturer of the year.
Congratulations, Prof. Robin Klupp Taylor!
