FAU shows clear jump in popularity in employers across the globe

Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) belongs to the top 15 percent of universities worldwide according to the latest QS World University Ranking. Compared to the previous year, FAU has moved up five places and is now ranked at place 224 of 1503.

Excellent ranking for citations

FAU did particularly well in the category “citations per researcher”, where it was ranked at place 50 in the international comparison. Under “employer reputation”, FAU moved forward an amazing 100 places to place 346. The University also scored well with a clear improvement over the year before in the areas “academic reputation”, place 345, “international students”, place 300, and “sustainability”, place 193.

National top positions for citations, international students and sustainability

Compared to other universities in Germany, FAU ranks 12th, on the same place as last year. It scored particularly well in “citations per researcher”, ranked 2nd, “international students”, ranked 7th, and “sustainability”, ranked 12th.

About the QS World University Ranking

The QS World University Ranking, which is published annually by Quacquarelli Symonds, combines general rankings for universities worldwide with subject rankings and regional comparisons, e.g. from Asia, Central Asia, Latin America and Europe. 1503 of the approximately 3000 evaluated universities were listed in the ranking, of which 50 are in Germany.
